Alright...some random thoughts, and thank you's...Thank you's first.
Recently, my dad needed a kidney transplant, and my uncle Doug took it upon himself to be the one to donate it. The surgery was a success, and I wanted to take the time to say, in my own little corner of the universe, thank you Uncle Doug for what you've done for Sarah, John, and I. You may never know what it means to us that you would do that, and we love you very much.
I've been avoiding this, and I truly wish I hadn't, but I couldn't deal with it before...now I need to get it out. Not too long ago, or so it feels, my cousin Matt passed on in an auto accident. Matt and I were very close, though as we got older, we didn't seem to run into each other as often. I've never regreted a thing in my life, but letting him slip away without me being able to thank him for being him and for the things he taught me in life, including how to play baseball, I do truly regret. Matt...I miss you. Play on cousin...Play on.
Ok...now that that's said and you all think I'm a wuss, lets move on.
It's funny how things go in life. The one person I didn't want to hang out with when I was younger is the one person I want to hang out with now. Maybe it's been the aforementioned events, or just that he's a whole lot more fun to hang out with now, but my brother has really become one of my best friends. He and his group of friends *AKA the Fab Five* are really a bunch of top knotch guys, and are a complete and total kick in the pants *or a shot in the nuts...tough to tell with these guys*. You guys probably won't read this, but I'm going to say it here anyway since I'll NEVER say it to your faces;
John: You're the best little brother a guy could ask for...period. Thanks for everything you've ever done for me, and will probably do for me in the future.
Nick: I've known you your whole life, and even though you used to be irritating, you've grown into a great guy. A great Big guy.
Bubba: You, like the other 3, I haven't known very long, but you're a pretty cool guy, although I still don't understand the whole "Anti Corporate thing". Thanks for inviting me to come check out your band...you guys rocked!
Cody: You my friend are a pretty funny guy, and you take getting picked on better than anybody I know. Great sense of humor = Good Guy
Shipman: Last, but certainly not least, you Ship, are quite possibly a long lost relative of mine, because we are incredibly simmilar. YaY No Ass Guys!
Ok...that's it for today...I'm done sounding like a little wuss for one day. Have fun, Play on, and HULK SMASH!
