Tulia "Desert Tulip" Minez was born a city girl in the heart of La Paz. Life for city kids like Tulia revolved around learning streetfighting, learning some kick-boxing (from someone you know), learning some more streetfighting and then finding as best a life as you can make for yourself after leaving home. At 21 years of age and possessing more natural ability than raw firepower Tulia has practiced the art of boxing recently in more controlled environments.

After two years of planning for this day she was the first of two fighters to answer a nondescript advert in the local La Paz paper asking for interested parties to be trained for WEBA boxing under the tutelage of Balio Frez. Tulia was the first interviewed and the first accepted. An unknown future begins now in the hallowed WEBA rings. P>
