Sue Saunders came into boxing late in the game. She had been athletic through high school and college, running track, playing basketball. While working downtown, she had heard of some co-workers boxing as an aerobic workout. She decided to give the training sessions a try and found that she had an intrinisic understanding of the sweet science. Working out for over a year, she was in the best shape of her life when she decided to try live, competitive matches. Joining Gleason's Gym, she quickly showed that she had the skills and drive to become a great fighter. Taking a leave of absence from her position, she trained hard and entered some local boxing tournaments. Her initial results were mixed with her losing some close decisions and being knocked out once. The initial losses spurred her on to train harder, and eventually she dominated the tournaments she entered. Deciding to go pro, she has joined the WEBA to bring her skills to the next level. However time is short and she has to decide if she returns to her career on Wall Street or dedicate herself totally to pro boxing.
