Sara got interested in boxing at a boxercise class she took to stay in shape.  Gym owner Jeff Wilson thought she could be a real boxer and encouraged her to train properly and enter an amateur competiion. Sara has fast hands and a good defense helped by her height and reach but her chin may be suspect.  She won several state championships but was knocked out at the nationals. After finding it was hard to keep fighting regularly as an amateur  in Arkansas, she jumped at the chance to go pro.  Sara says she will work hard and she hopes to become the Junior Featherweight champion.
