Nina works in the docks and is a champion weightlifter and bodybuilder. She wins her fights on raw power and size. She lacks finesse but has a legendary ability to take punishment and keep fighting. "This is big strong woman with iron chin, end of story", says coach Kalshnikov. "She is not fastest boxer in world but she slow you down in big hurry!".

She has been strong enough to power her way to the World Middleweight title in February 2001, TKO'ing the WEBA's own big girl, Crazy Claire Freeman, in the twelfth round. Only Hellcat Heather Corrigan has been able to wear "Dockyard" Dmitrieva down to gain a win.
