Born in Brazil, but moved to New York when she was 8 (ironically around the same time she started boxing), Gina Silva had the beauty of model, but the toughness of a Marine. She was big name amateur whose 205-2 record, 5 straight national Golden Glove victories, and 2 straight gold medal victories at the Pan American Games had many WEBA trainers go after her, including some big name WEBA trainers, but she chose Mike Williams.
