Elena was born in Kaunas, Lithuania but was raised in St. Petersburg. She is trained in many martial arts and is small but very fast in the boxing ring. Until recently she has had to fight mainly heavier opponents and has not had an impressive record, with many tough losses by knockout. But in true featherweight competition, her speed and aggressive boxing style come to the fore, as she showed when she demolished the favored WEBA champion, Tina Boppa. Elena has good boxing skills but is also a tough scrapper who won't back down. Coach Kalashnikov says that she needs to work on her endurance, as she tends to fade in longer fights.
