Esther Gonzalez is known as "La Loba", the She-Wolf, because she is a relentless huntress in the ring.

She grew up in a family of boxers inspired by Erik Morales. At first she went to the Azteca Gym to watch her older brothers train. One day she asked to put on the gloves herself. Trainer Jorge Sandoval saw a little girl hitting the heavy bag with big gloves and jokingly asked if she wanted to learn to box. Esther quickly showed she had the determination to become a boxer and was soon defeating much older girls in club fights in Tijuana. Her amateur career was short because she turned pro at age 18 to help support her large family. She has won several pro fights at El Foro in Tijuana and across the border in San Diego, California. Esther now hopes to show off her fighting skills in the WEBA.
