The Amazin' Wombats, an original league franchise, have seen their share of up and down seasons. Owner Brian Baldwin has had the opportunity to have the first draft pick 4 times. As this is not something the Wombats are proud of, Owner Baldwin looks to use these experiences to create a top franchise. The 2003 season was a banner year for the Wombats as they were in the hunt for the division title until the last week. A positive turn around for the franchise. The Wombats came away from the 2006 season with their first bit of hardware as R Howard brought home the LumberKing Award.  In recent years injuries and some trades gone bad have turned this team on the downward trend. The 2008 season was an up-trend finishing in 3rd place for the division. Still no added hardware for the trophy case though. The Wombats were also one of 4 teams to break the 1000 loss column as a franchise.
