Owner: Bart Butler

The Buttuglies, originally called the St. Joe River Rats, and then just the River Rats, have been in the league since the formation of the Green Diamonds League. Owner Bart Butler is brother to Stogies owner Boyd Butler. The Buttuglies  had only 1 winning season in their first 6 seasons as a franchise. In 2003 the Buttuglies took home the league title defeating the Destroyers. The 2004 season saw the bulls eye on their backs and the Buttuglies finished 9th over all. The Buttuglies have proven to be well informed on draft day as Owner Butler visits spring training each season. The Buttuglies stick by their players though by rarely trading or using the free agent market. The '07 & '08 seasons had a little de-ja-vu in them as the Buttuglies finished right at .500 both seasons.
