Cauldron II

Cauldron II cover

This is actually just a tribute to one of my favorite computer games of the past, but it fits on a Halloween page since it is kind of Halloween related. The game is called Cauldron II by Palace Software, and I used to play it on my old Commodore 64 a long while ago. It was actually one of my first games I had on the C64, I got it back in 1986 and fell for it at once.

Just getting started

The game is a typical platform game where you control a Jack-o-Lantern. You actually bounce around (but I doubt real ones can do that *grin*) inside of a haunted castle, and your mission is to collect magical items. Not much to say about it really, it's a pretty common theme in games, but I really liked the atmosphere from the first time I saw it, and since it's about Halloween related things, as well as one of my favorite games of the past, I thought I'd make this tribute to it.

Trying to get to the magical glass

However, even though the game was made for the Commodore 64, you can still play it if you have a PC. There are emulators to download that emulates the C64, and you can run any program made for it. If you want some info on that, you can visit my Commodore 64 page. You can also email me with questions concerning the emulator or game if you want to try an old classic game.

Got some points and a magical book
