I am a Bahamian twelfth grade student at St. Augustine's College, Nassau, Bahamas (soon to be The College of The Bahamas). My interests include soccer, basketball, running, most other sports, reading, and computers. I have practiced with and played against many men's and women's soccer teams in the Bahamas, I have also played with the Bahamian Junior National Team. I have many responsibilities for my high school team including assistant trainer and former team captain and president for all other soccer teams (in St. Augustine's College). On Friday nights I attend SKY (Slamming Kingdom Youth, the youth group for Kingdom Life World Outreach Ministries) youth group meetings, holding positions on the public relations committee and the editorial staff.
St. Augustine's College, known as "The
Big Red Machine," dominates all oncomers, academically,
spiritually, and athletically. Our high school, consisting of
nearly one thousand students, possesses a widely diversified
student body, talented in all subjects and extra-curricular
activities offered. For many years we have won the national
high school track championships and participated in the
championships for basketball, softball, and volleyball in all
divisions (senior boys/junior boys senior girls/junior girls),
being led by basketball stars Eduardo Carey,
Desmond Taylor, and Tarrick Seville
. With the national track and field competition coming
up, S.A.C. superstar senior athletes such as Vaughn
Godet (long distance), Jamiko Sands,
Adrian Cargill, Sheldon Armstrong
, and Rick Albury are training hard for
this special event. This track meet spares no high schools
as S.A.C. is the defending champion.
We have won the National Track and Field Championship
this weekend, even though most of our relay teams were disqualified!!!
