More tidbids: Capriati pulled out of the Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo. She was originally entered, but decided not to play the event. I called the WTA office and talked to the tour director. He said that he did not know why. She said in her press conference, that she was still undecided if she was going to play Tokyo, but Oklahoma for sure.

Jennifer has not committed to play Indian Wells, but I called and talked to the tourney staff. They said that she could still decide to play the event, and that they would give her a wild card (since the main draw has already been posted for the event).

Her ranking did not suffer much, as she holds the 25th spot in the world.

Monica (on the other hand), needs to get back soon - as she is in danger of loosing a lot of points very fast. She has already dropped to number 6 in the world. As most of you know, Jennifer beat her 6-3,6-3 in their last meeting at the end of the year. This was Jennifer's best performance against the worlds former #1 player.
