New Hampton Huskies

This year the Evergreen League named Derrick Gordon, Scott Tkachuk, Paul Santamaria '97, Harly Fisher, and Bill Herman '97 as All League performers. The Lakes Region also recognized Derrick Gordon, Paul Santamaria, Scott Tkachuk, and Bill Herman as All-Stars. The coaches selected Derrick Gordon as the team's MVP; as captain, Derrick led the team in rushing with 931 yards in six games and in tackles with 44. Paul Santamaria won the MacLeod Award for dedication and leadership. His brother had won the same award in 1994. Scott Tkachuk won the Sterndale Award for leadership and contribution to the program. A five-year member of the football team, Scott was a standout in his postgraduate year. Justin McCummings won the Coaches Award for his unselfishness. He stepped in and played quarterback with no prior experience. Justin is a role model on and off the field.
