"All the e-mails that I have sent to you are sent from my club, the Gargnano Sailing Club. This where, all the summer, I teach junior sailing using the Optimist. This is far away from my house where I have the computer.

In fact I live in a city that is found approximately 150 km from the Lake Garda. The city is called Bolzano.

I love a lot the Farr740 and have been an owner since 1994. My boat is called PASCIA' and I have sent you a photo of her in a regatta on Lake Garda.

The characteristics of my Farr740 are:

• Fixed keel (designed by an architect from CBZ )
• Mast of 10 metres, approximately. As you will see from photo, there are no running backstays and she has swept-back spreaders.
• She is without kitchen and sink and, for the regattas, I have dispensed with anything other than minimum required for her class on Lake Garda.

Later on, possibly this Autumn, I will send details to you of all the Farr740’s in Italy who want to be included on the Farr740 site.

For the last two years, I have tried to constitute a class of our beautiful boat. However, all the owners have made so many modifications that they are no longer equal to one another.

I envy you, as I am sure Australia is a place that understands a lot of the beauty and quality of our boat.
