On Saturday December 7, 2002 Homenetmen of New York celebrated our 25th Anniversary. A dinner-dance was held at the Armenian Society center located in Little Neck, Queens. Erebouni band provided the entertainment to the patriotic crowd.
The night marked the 25th anniversary for the leading Armenian athletic organization of New York. During the night annual awards were handed out to individuals for accomplishments during the 2002 year.
Additionallly Homenetmen of NY's 2002 committee presented "Lifetime Achievement" Awards to Yeghpayner Armand Alpian, Vahe Andonian, Mikael Mkryan, Manouel rakoubian and Vicken Shekookian for their service and dedication thru the years to the Homenetmen of New York Chapter.
Members of the original 1977 NY executive committee and founders were also presented with special plaques in honor of our 25th Anniversary. Present were Seta Bakalian, Joseph Nakashian, Hovanes Mardirosian, Ohanes Mashevejian, Sarkis Topalian and Vartkes Vartanian,
