The playoffs are a time when team leaders have to step up and play their best hockey of the season. Unfortunately, #3 Greg Klein and #12 Curtis Cameron haven't seemed to be doing that. Even though Klein is tied for leading scorer amongst the struggling Hawks, he still only has 6 points to show for in the 2 playoff games he played. Unfortunately, this may have been his last game with the Hawks, as Klein was kicked out and handed a 10-Minute Misconduct for a clean hit after the whistle. He was also dispensed 2 minutes for roughing. As of now, we can tell you currently Greg is in fact in the Hawks line-up for the game April 1st against the mighty Comets.
But Curtis Cameron is also is a terrible slump. Curtis just can't seem to get anything going in these 1999/2000 Hockey Regina House Playoffs. In two games, against 2 weak teams, Curtis has no points to show for. Curtis was also kicked out of the game at the same time Klein was because of slapping his stick on the ice in appreciation for such a big hit. It was unsportsmanlike conduct, and that's why he was kicked out so quickly.
If Curtis and Greg are, in fact, allowed to play in the game against the Comets, they are really going to have to pick their game up a notch. Klein especially, as we all know that #2 on the Comets is out every time Greg is, covering him and giving him cheap shots. Curtis is going to have to start getting some points, because he has a miserable 2 shots on net in these playoffs.
