Bay State Blaze Introduction
The Bay State Blaze was founded in 1991 by former Stonehill Collage coach Marty French and several of his former players.
Coach French with the help from former players from the Mass Pirates, Blue Devils, and All Americans began the Blaze program with one goal in mind, To provide young woman with the best opportunity to learn and compete in Fast Pitch Softball. While the Blaze program has had great success on the field,
Their greatest success has come off the field.
Every member of the Blaze has gone onto college and over 90% have played college softball. In the last 8 years the players have combined to receive All-Conference, All-American, Academic All Americans and
Player of the year awards.
Listed are some of the colleges Blaze players have attended or are attending.
The Blaze are committed in making learning and competition a fun experience. We like to think that we are teaching the girls to love the game of Fast Pitch Softball. We must be doing something right because right now there are many former Blaze players who answer to the name of "COACH" at the recreation,
Junior Olympic, High School and College Level.
As we prepare for a new season we are committed to providing the very best for our players. We are excited about our new coached (yes former players) and our new players. We look forward to seeing you at a ballpark soon.
