My Game 20 Report

We're now #1 in the Western Conference!

The Flash beat the Nashville Metros 3-1 and are now the top seed in the Western Conference!

Though I didn't get to see or hear the game, I'm very excitied to learn that we won. We continue to play very well, and it sounds like Antonio Robles is continuing to tear up the league. Here's the blurb from the USISL page:

The Flash used second-half goals by Antonio Robles, Jerome Watson and Kevin Legg to take the come-from-behind win. Kevin Quigley scored for the Metros, and had a second shot deflected over the end line by 'keeper Joe Cannon.

Also, I happend to see that another A-League fan has a web page set up setting out the seedings for the playoffs right now. I've listed that page below. The Flash are ranked #1 right now. If the playoffs were held today we would play Vancouver. They're a team that's been around a while, and they have good support at home, but for whatever reason they're ranked #8 in the Western Conference, so we should be able to take them. If it were to continue, we'd play the winner of #4 vs. #5, which right now is Seattle and Milwaukee. We've beaten Seattle, but we haven't played Milwaukee. But again, I'm sure that if we continue with our present form, we could take on anyone!

Things are getting very exciting as playoffs approach. The next game is at home, this Friday against the New Orleans Storm. We haven't played them before, but I'm sure we'll do well! This is making for a great season!

GO FLASH!!!
