SEATTLE -- Eric Storkson scored in the 70th minute to give the Seattle Sounders a 1-0 A-League victory over the Flash yesterday before 2,373 at Memorial Stadium.

Storkson scored on a one-touch shot off a pass from USD alumnus Paul Gelvezon, who brought the ball down the left wing and beat Flash defender Carlos Cruz. Gelvezon sent a cross to Storkson, who sent the ball past Flash goalkeeper Joe Cannon.

The Sounders were outshot 13-11, but goalkeeper Dusty Hudock made seven saves to help Seattle improve to 3-4 and end a four-game losing streak.

The Flash (2-3) threatened in the second half when Kevin Legg had an open shot from 10 yards, but he kicked the ball over the goal.

Carlos Farias nearly tied the score in the 72nd minute on a bending free kick, but Hudock made the save. Hudock's body was inside the goal, but he held the ball just inside the field of play.

Cannon finished with four saves for the Flash.

The Flash will next play at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at San Francisco.
