SEATTLE -- The Flash scored two short-handed goals a minute apart in the second half to overcome a 1-0 deficit and defeat the Seattle Sounders 2-1 in an A-League game yesterday before 3,107 at Memorial Stadium.

Kevin Legg scored in the 62nd minute to tie the game and Antonio Robles got the game-winner a minute later as the Flash improved to 11-5 and took over sole possession of first place in the Western Division with 33 points. Orange County (31 points) lost to San Francisco.

Seattle (9-7), which had won four straight, took a 1-0 lead on Patrick Beach's goal on a header in the 48th minute. In the 55th minute, Seattle's Brandon Prideaux was awarded a penalty kick after Flash midfielder Eric Chaisongkram held him in the penalty box.

Chaisongkram's foul earned him his second yellow card of the day and automatic ejection, forcing San Diego to play a man down the rest of the game.

Flash goalkeeper Joe Cannon made the save on the penalty kick, and seven minutes later Legg sent a 35-yard bending shot past Sounders goalkeeper Dusty Hudock to tie the score.

Robles then got the ball on a deflection off a Seattle defender and scored off a goalpost to make it 2-1.

The Flash next plays the US Pro Select 40 team, Major League Soccer's developmental squad, Saturday at Southwestern College.
