Little Italy is the largest Italian community in Cleveland and also home to many local artists. Restaurants and art galleries line the streets of this tightly knit community. The Murray Hill Area Arts Assoc. (MHAAA) directory currently lists 34 galleries and artitst' studios within the area. Open hours vary, but most are open Tues. thru Sat. from 12 to 6pm. Some, are open longer, including Sundays. Art walks are special events that draw a great many visitors, and all establishments are open extended hours, offer drinks and/or snacks and exhibit special shows or highlight the latest works. University Circle, home to the major museums and Case Western Reserve, is within walking distance. The community is also on the RTA Bus line and next to a Rapid Transit station. Five minutes to Coventry and 15 minutes to downtown.

What's New?

The Lyceum The Lyceum is an independent, Catholic day school for boys and girls in grades seven through twelve. It opened in the Fall of 2003 in Cleveland, Ohio. "We are delighted to have found a truly charming location to house The Lyceum (at least during our first year of operation). It is located at 2062 Murray Hill Road in Little Italy." The building is an old church called "Chiesa Giovanni," a red brick little gem on the corner of Murray Hill and Paul Road. It has a gracious center Hall, "The Giovanni," which will be perfect for concerts, plays and assemblies, and other classroom spaces which will serve them well throughout the year. The school aims to provide a Catholic Classical education with a low student to teacher ratio. The  school does not intend to grow beyond 75 students.
