COLLECTORS MAGAZINE

Here are the two blisters I have from this rare series, Jamie Redknapp & Ian Walker.

FEATURE

World Cup Keyring Figures

These are the 18 models I have.

Ever seen these Corinthian keyrings?  They are England World Cup ’98 figures with a keyring screwed into the head of the figure.  They can screw in and out.  The prices of these can be quite high in the second hand market.  The reason being there was not a lot made, probably just an idea to use up spare figure like the Man Utd blue base figures.  Also when they were released nobody really collected them and any which were actually used as keyrings have long been destroyed by wear and tear.  Some of the actual figures are now very rare.  Rarities include World Cup models of Campbell, Southgate and Le Saux not to mention the Scholes E90 figure!  This particular figure is now worth around £30 on it’s own.  Now that’s what I call an expensive keyring.
Sadly these don’t appear in the yearbook but maybe someday they will be listed for us all.
I have 18 of the keyrings and believe there are 24 in the series so if you have any for sale or swap please let me know, as I may need it.

Scholes E90 is worth around £30!

COLLECTORS TIP

This time I can only urge you to go for what I consider to be the real money-makers which are the old English and Scottish Premier Lge Blisters, I myself have just paid £60 for a Billy Dodds (Aberdeen) blisters as its simply unobtainable.  Some blisters from this era can still be picked up quite cheap so I would suggest that you snap them up where you can.  Also may other blisters are being snapped up by collectors including a lot of Pro Stars blisters.  It is noticeable that a lot of these collectors are from Asia.  Of the unofficial figures Argentina Coca-Cola figures are being very popular and sell very quickly even at expensive prices.
I have still many different figures for sale and if you want to see my for sale list just e-mail me and ask.
