 | A little about me! |
Well, hi! Welcome! Yes, I am a "Virgo" (birthday, 3rd September :)) and this is what Virgo's are!
 |
"Ancient Egyptians associated Virgo with the goddess Au Set (later known as Isis), who, among other things, taught women to grind corn. The Virgin, symbol of your sign, often holds an ear of grain, alluding to the harvest of late summer. You understand the harvest of hard work, which entails observation, measuring differences, tabulating details, memorizing data, systematizing and organizing methods of operation. Your love for order and harmony is revealed in the way you approach life. You function on a cerebral level, but because you're an earth sign, your mental approach is pragmatic. You want to see results, your own personal harvest.
Your keyword is DISCRIMINATION. It's what you use to resolve the various conflicts you're faced with on a daily basis. Not much gets by you without questioning it, because you need to allocate a place and system for everything. You're perpetually in the assessment and preparation stages of making adjustments. You prefer to make your own decisions. Your process of judgment involves analyzing everything down to the last detail before taking action. You can be fault-finding and very sarcastic, but you are not naturally aggressive. Your poised, cool or retiring exterior is an indication of your need for inner peace.
Your forte is small talk. You are playfully sarcastic, helpful and generous with advice, and you're at your best when you're tolerant, sympathetic and easygoing. However, with your need for privacy, you can be somewhat of a loner. You're prudent about love and approach it with your head." |

To be honest, that is really very much me, although I confess that I never read my horoscope!
I also found out that I am a Weeping Willow Tree!!
Weeping Willow, The Melancholy
Beautiful but full of melancholy, attractive, very empathic, loves
anything beautiful and tasteful, loves to travel, dreamer, restless,
capricious, honest, can be influenced but is not easy to live with,
demanding, good intuition, suffers in love but finds sometimes an
anchoring partner.

"Weeping Willow" by Claude Monet. Don't go much on it myself! Kinda eerie! |
Yup! 'Fraid so - that's me too!! I like the "beautiful" bit though! :)
THE TRUTH!!
(Yes, that is my eye - bit of a ropey jpg - only one eye; the same eye mirrored is on the left - but I do have two eyes really!! D'ya think I need surgery to tend to the droop??? No-ah! I was smiling afterall - what d'you expect??)
Personally speaking
Will "small, not yet fat, brown hair, blue eyes" do?!?! Kinda non-descript and average, you might say! :)
Family
Married with two sons.
Where I live
I live on the outskirts of Plymouth in the southwest corner of England, (where it is mild but the sun rarely shines) in an ordinary three-bedroomed house.
Pets
One flop-eared bunny rabbit called Captain Bunzee.
What do I do
Very little right now, as I am not working at present. In the past, I have worked as a civil servant, a secretary in a university, a secretary in the BBC, a cashier, a barmaid, an Avon lady(!) . . . anything really!
Likes and dislikes
You know I like football! Then, I like music (all kinds, mainly rock though - and I hate jazz and opera), reading (humourous content being my favourite, but don't mind a bit of pash now and again!) and travel (Europe mostly - just can't never get to see it all. I adore mountains.). I like the web too! In people, I look for genuinety (if that's a word!), unselfishness and a big sense of humour!
I hate Manchester United, Leeds United, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Barcelona!! I hate dark days, spiders, flying, queues, rude people, bigots and chauvanists! And I hate turnip and cabbage!!
Favourite Places
Amalfi, Italy; Rome, Italy; Isola Bella, Italy; Chamonix, France; Carcassonne, France; Segovia, Spain; Zermatt, Switzerland; Heiligenblut, Austria; Benderloch, Scotland (no worries - I'll think of more!)
Most scary moment
On a train in Switzerland. Going through the Goppenstein~Kandersteg tunnel, sitting in our car - which was "in the open air" and protected only by a 6 inch little fence and was bouncing around like crazy for 20 minutes as we hurtled downwards IN THE DARK and around unseen corners - and we were powerless to do anything! TERRIFYING!!
Ah, that's all for now! I think that's all you can probably stomach in one go!! Perhaps I'll add to this at a later date!
