So, we won convincingly in the end, 6-2 on aggregate. Goals tonight were from Boghossian 37', Crespo 40', Di Vaio 67'. Crespo also managed to miss a penalty on 21', after Doroshenko had been sent off for a professional foul.
That's it really! Nobody seems to have seen this game - it certainly was not on the TV anywhere! Cannot seem to be able to get too excited about this though. Perhaps I'm just a misery! :)
Anyway, now we've drawn Helsingborgs for the next round (21 Oct and 4 Nov - home first). Are these Finnish or what?? Oh, no - found out - Swedish!

Report from Nando Soccer
Holders Parma forgot its domestic worries and led the Italian charge into the second round of the UEFA Cup on Thursday. It was joined by regular league rivals Juventus, Bologna, Roma and Udinese on an evening that saw many of the bit-part players complete their roles and leave the stage to more familiar faces. Without a win in serie A this season and with just four goals from its four league matches, Parma overcame newcomers Kryvbas Kryviy Rih 3-0 in a second leg clash in Ukraine to canter through 6-2 on aggregate. Parma, already eliminated from the qualifying stages of the Champions League, had looked the Italian side most at risk after a tight 3-2 home win and poor form in Italy. But it was boosted in the 21st minute when Ihor Doroshenko was sent off for a professional foul, although Argentine Hernan Crespo prolonged the uncertainty by lashing the ensuing penalty over the bar. France's Alain Boghossian finally opened the scoring with a header in the 36th minute and Crespo made it 2-0 five minutes before the break. Marco di Vaio, scorer of two goals in the first leg, hit the final goal in the 67th. The win took some pressure off Parma coach Alberto Malesani whose job looks far from secure. "We never thought of losing tonight and being out of the UEFA Cup after the first round," said Malesani, who was visibly pleased with his team's performance. "However, it was a very difficult match for us, but after they were reduced to 10 men, we had a much easier task." With Kryvbas making their home debut in European competition, some 400,000 residents of the western mining town had applied for tickets to the match - far in excess of the ground's 30,000 capacity.
