Eddie and the Stars wrapped up the preseason with a 3-3 tie with the St.
Louis Blues on Saturday night. The ice was tilted toward Eddie's net through the first 2
periods as Dallas was outshot 26-8. One of the St. Louis goals came on a 2nd period
penalty shot by Geoff Courtnall. It was the first penalty shot Eddie has faced in
over 5 years.
Scoring the goals for the Stars were Mike Modano, Jamie Langenbrunner, and
Brett Hull. The Stars begin their defense of the Stanley Cup on Friday night as the
Pittsburgh Penguins come to Dallas to kick off the regular season. Prior to the game, the
Stanley Cup banner will be raised to the rafters of Reunion Arena.
