9. Gur Shelef
Gur Shelef was the most wanted Israeli player in the last summer. He was requested by Hapoel Jerusalem, Hapoel Eilat, and more teams. However, he decided to stay for one more season in Galil.
Gur is playing in position number 3. He has very good penetration game. He knows to steal the ball, he's pretty quick, and he has very good moves in the offence plays. The main problem of Gur is the 3 point throws. He just doesn't have the shot from there. Although this, he is the one who won in 1995/1996 season with a 3 point throw in the last game in the league in Sefad, in the last seconds, a win who brought Galil to the Final-Four. (Who could beleive it..).
Gur is a member of the Israeli National Team. He played in the last EuroBasket Championship in Spain, in which Israel finished 9th in Europe.
Gur is a very important player to Galil. He is a talented player which only needs to improve his shots from the 3 points. Gur will play next season probably in Maccabi Tel-Aviv, and will join other players there who made their huge improvment in the Galil, like Nadav Henefeld, Doron Sheffer, and Brad Leaf.
