15. Abdul Shamseed-A-Deen
Abdul is the team Center. It's his first season at the team. He came from Orensse, Spain, from the ACB League.
Well, only 2 months he's with us, and all the fans already love him and call him "Aladin" (hopefully he will have luck as Aladin has).
He's leading the Israeli league after 6 games as the best Rebounder (11 Rebounds per game). However, he was injured in the game vs. Hapoel Jerusalem in Malcha, Jerusalem, and he won't play for the next 2-3 weeks. All the team and the fans hope that Abdul will get better as soon as possible and continue leading Galil with Rebounds and great defence.
Abdul is a great rebounder (I guess you got it already). He has a great defence, he blocks shots, just as the 2 previous centers in the team, Pancho Hodges (1995/1996) and Jason Dixon (1996/1997). His worse part is the shots from the line, he had last season in Spain only 40% !! from the line and it's the part he must improve, because as a center, he goes many times to the penalty line. Abdul gives every game 100% and more from what he got and for that all the fans and the players thank him. All this info I know from only 4 games he played. That shows he's a great player and a great person. I'm very happy that he plays in Pelephone Galil Elyon and from here I wish him fast recover and good luck in the season. Go show them who are you "Aladin" !
