1998 MFFL Rule Amendments
(note: changes have been reflected in the
Rules section.)
1. Free agent bidding will be accepted
by Wednesday night. Owners interested in acquiring a free-agent must submit
a silent bid ($1-$5). In the event that more than one owner bids the same
amount, the free-agent will be awarded to the owner with the worse record.
The next tie breaker is total points scored. Notifcation(by e-mail) will
occur by Thursday. Once it is known a free agent was acquired, an extra
day for line-up changes will be given and teams who acquire a free agent
will have until Friday to set their line-ups. In the event of a Thursday
night game, free agent requests should be in Tuesday night. To ease the
communication gap, include said free-agent(if you plan on starting him)
in that week's line-up. Please indicate when when turning uour line-up
card who the free-agent is to start for.
2. Additions of defensive interception
scoring: 2 pts per interception
3. Addition of 1 extra pt for field goals
50 yds +.
1999 MFFL Rule Amendments
1. Weekly lineups are now due by Saturday, midnight. In the event of a Thursday night game, teams with players participating are only required to name starters for that game only. Otherwise, lineups are due Saturday, midnight.
Transactions:
Add/drops and free-agent acquisitions can occur at anytime during the season. Trades will be accepted until Week 8 (Wed. before game day). The deadline for acquiring and starting said free-agent that same week is Wednesday night. There is a $1.00 transaction fee for free-agent pick-ups. A silent bid ($1 - $5) will be used in cases of free-agent transactions. If more than one team tries to acquire a free-agent, the player will awarded to the team with the worse record(please refer to the Amendments section for additional information).
Bye-Week Policy
If you intend to use a player's stats during his bye-week, you must declare it so before the prior weeks game. If you do not intend to use the bye player's stats, just call in or e-mail that week's line-up and notify the commissioner of the change. Otherwise, the bye player will remain active and ean 0 points.
Roster Deadline:
Roster changes must be in the Wednesay night if there is a Thursday night game. Otherwise, they must be in by Friday night (no calls at 11:59 pm, please). Feel free to e-mail me though. Team's roster will stand if there is no contact with the commissioner.
Tie-Breakers:
In the event of a tie between divisional foes vying for playoff consideration, the tie-breaker rules come into effect. The team with the greater number of points will advance. Point total is followed by head-to-head competition and divisional record.
