1. Inform the coaches in advance if your swimmer will not be able to compete in a scheduled meet.
2. Make sure your swimmer’s name is on all personal belongings with a permanent marker. (Ex: goggles, caps, towels, bags, snack containers, etc.)
3. Supply more than one towel; your child may need one to sit on and one or two to dry off with between races. Sweat pants and shirts are usually a good idea.
4. Please remember that all meet workers are parents of swimmers. That is, they are all volunteers. .To help them keep our swimmers safe, it is important that you instruct your child(ren) as to all the DOs & DON’Ts supplied in your handbook.
5. All scheduled workers must report to Andy no later than 5:30 PM.
6. Make sure swimmers are brought to the marshaling area and encouraged to stay with the team.
7. Have swimmers keep snacks with them, preferably healthy ones such as fruit, veggies, juice and water.
8. To assure that swimmers are ready to
be marshaled for their next race, it is recommended that swimmers have a bag in the marshalling area to keep their belongings safe. (Children often misplace goggles, snacks, and towels during visits to parents, rest room, or snack counters.)
