RCW World/North American Championship Tournament Match

"Wolverine" Chad Wilson
Fr: Ann Arbor, MI \*/ Ht: 6'6" \*/ Wt: 285
==vs==
Tommy Silver
Fr: Orlando, FL \*/ Ht: 6'5" \*/ Wt: 255

We got the action started with a semifinal match in the championship tournament that pitted two heated rivals against each other as "Wolverine" Chad Wilson faced Tommy Silver!! No one in Davis Memorial Palace was surprised when neither man waited for the bell; considering how much animosity exists between the two of them, it was a wonder they made it down the ramp!! Wilson and Silver punished each other with all manner of axhandles, backbreakers, stepover toeholds, and cross armbreakers, with neither man giving an inch!! Eventually, Silver was able to take control of the contest and keep Wilson off of his feet with a series of technical maneuvers, even rolling The Wolverine up with a small package for a two-count!! But Chad Wilson would not be denied, fighting his way back into the match with kneelifts and forearms, then taking the fight straight to The Playboy with German suplexes and gutbusters!! Still, Tommy Silver was able to keep Wilson at bay, finally whipping him into the turnbuckle only to have The Wolverine come charging back out with a devastating spear!! With Silver laid out, Chad Wilson locked in The 2-Point Conversion as Tommy Silver flailed in agony!! The Playboy held on for as long as he could, but was forced to submit, giving the match and the shot at RCW's top two titles to Wilson!!!

RCW World/North American Championship Tournament Match

Blue Phoenix
Fr: Parts Unknown \*/ Ht: 6'3" \*/ Wt: 245
==vs==
Rob Holiday
Fr: Yonkers, NY \*/ Ht: 6'7" \*/ Wt: 269

Our next match was to decide who would join Chad Wilson in the main event, Blue Phoenix or Rob Holiday, and judging by the way both men wrestled, one would have thought that the title was already on the line!! Phoenix and Holiday have exchanged some harsh words, so exchanging right hooks and elbowsmashes wasn't much of a stretch! Phoenix took control first with a few well-placed thrust kicks and throat chops, then connected with a series of aerial maneuvers that kept Rob Holiday guessing and the crowd on their feet!! Still, Bobby Vacation came to fight, and after countering a high crossbody block with a wicked punch to the gut, he unloaded on The Firebird with big knees to the face and axhandles to the back!! Holiday then took the match to the mat with a string of submission holds, grinding Blue Phoenix down with dragon sleepers and camel clutches!! But The Firebird refused to give in, kicking his way free from a leg grapevine, jumping onto the ropes, and flattening Rob Holiday with a corkscrew bodypress, pinning for the one, the two, and then Holiday kicked out!! Blue Phoenix stayed on the attack, scoring with a somersault forearm smash, then connecting with a spinning legdrop!! Phoenix then climbed to the top turnbuckle and came off with a 450 splash, but Rob Holiday moved out of the way, leaving The Firebird to hit nothing but mat!! Bobby Vacation got to his feet and pulled Phoenix up, but The Firebird jammed a thumb in Holiday' throat, then ran into the ropes and came back with a huracanrana!! But Rob Holiday countered with a huge power bomb, blasting Blue Phoenix and pinning (with a handful of tights) for the one, two, and three!!!

Kerry "Carnage" Carter
w/ Niki Weathers
Fr: San Diego, CA \*/ Ht: 6'1" \*/ Wt: 229
==vs==
"Sensational" Johnny Lee
Fr: Washington, D.C. \*/ Ht: 5'10" \*/ Wt: 220

Next up, two of RCW's headline cruiserweights went at it again as Kerry "Carnage" Carter faced "Sensational" Johnny Lee in a Top Rope Match where a wrestle can only go for the win immediately following a move from the top rope!! Kerry Carter got things started early with a few quick crescent kicks and back fists, following with a dropkick or two, but Johnny Lee was right in step, landing a few spinning back kicks and back body drops!! Things got interesting when Kerry Carter missed with a flying forearm and Johnny Lee capitalized with a ropeflip moonsault bodypress, following with an elbowdrop from the top rope!! Lee made the pin as the ref counted one, two, and three-quarters as Kerry Carter kicked out!! Lee went to pull Carter up, but Carnage dropped The Sensational One with a double-leg takedown, then connected with a wishbone elbowdrop!! Lee writhed in pain as Carter took a moment to slap Johnny's face a little, then climbed the ropes and came off with a shooting star press!! But Johnny Lee raised his knees, burying them in Kerry Carter's gut!! Lee struggled to his feet and laid Carter out with a snap suplex, then connected with a big kneedrop!! Finally, Lee came off the top rope with The Simply Sensational, pinning Carter for the one, the two, and then Niki Weathers put Kerry Carter's foot on the bottom rope!! The ref broke the count, Johnny Lee vehemently protested, and Kerry Carter smothly pulled a set of brass knuckles out of his tights!! After Lee's objection, the ref warned Niki about her interference while Kerry Carter spun Johnny Lee around and clocked him square on the chin with the knucks!! Lee fell like a chopped tree as Kerry Carter climbed to the top rope, flipped off the capacity crowd, then connected with a moonsault bodypress for the one, two, and three!!!

Irons
w/ Valerie
Fr: Palm Springs, FL \*/ Ht: 6'8" \*/ Wt: 280
==vs==
David Stallion
Fr: Leavenworth, KS \*/ Ht: 6'5" \*/ Wt: 275

Our next match set up two of RCW's newer faces on a collision course as Irons met David Stallion!! The Metal Mystery entered the match with an impressive record, and he backed it up in the early going, nailing David Stallion from every possible angle! Irons connected with a flying clothesline, then locked on a leg hammerlock, then floored Stallion with a sidewalk slam!! But The Farm Boy came right back at him, landing a series of hard right hands, then elbowing Irons into the corner!! From there, Stallion drove knee after knee into his opponent's ribs before lifting him and setting him up on the top turnbuckle!! But Irons caught Stallion with a low blow and shoved him down to the mat, then came off with a huge senton splash!! But Stallion rolled out of the way, leaving Irons to crash to the mat!! The Farm Boy wasted no time crushing Irons with backbreakers and vertical suplexes, eventually landing an inverted atomic drop for a two-count!! The Metal Mystery was in bad shape and Stallion wasn't about to let up, whipping Irons into the ropes and delivering a big spinebuster before executing The Spirit Breaker and pinning for the one, two, and three!!!

Menace To Society
{Stevie J & "Big Bad" Dan Palmer}
Combined Wt: 550
==vs==
The Nighthawks
{Fields & Brand}
Combined Wt: 525

The action continued as Menace To Society faced The Nighthawks in a Thunderdome Match; in order to win, both members of the tag team must escape the cage!! Menace To Society didn't make it easy for The Nighthawks, battering them to the mat before they could fully enter the cage! Palmer and Stevie J were relentless with their crisp double-team maneuvers, but spent a little too much time wearing down Brand, leaving Fields to coem off the top rope with a double clothesline that brought both men down!! Not long after that, Fields was locking a series of submission holds on Stevie J while Dan Palmer was beating the life out of Brand!! Finally, Stevie countered a sleeperhold with a jawbreaker, then he and Palmer executed The Blackmail on Brand!! Stevie J and Dan Palmer climbed the cage and reached the opening in the roof, but while Stevie J pulled himself free, Fields jumped up and grabbed Dan Palmer's foot, pulling on him until he fell back to the mat!! Fields connected with a few back elbows and half-nelson takedowns, but Dan Palmer was too much for him to handle!! The big man came firing back at Fields with huge axhandles and clotheslines, then floored him with power slams and Samoan drops!! Palmer was going for a gutwrench suplex on Fields when Brand attacked from behind with a flying forearm!! Brand nailed Dan Palmer in the back of the head, then crushed him with a big bulldog!! Brand even used a few spinning toeholds to hold Palmer down until Fields recovered and joined the attack!! Stevie J was forced to watch from the arena floor as The Nighthawks turned the heat all the way up, delivering vicious tandem vertical suplexes and gutbusters!! In the end, The Agents delivered The Assassination, then scaled the cage and escaped together!!!

"California Kid" Seth Gavin
Fr: Los Angeles, CA \*/ Ht: 6'2" \*/ Wt: 239
==vs==
"The People's Choice" Tony Bravo
Fr: Detroit, MI \*/ Ht: 6'4" \*/ Wt: 260

Next up was one of RCW's hottest feuds dating back to the re-opening card as "California Kid" Seth Gavin met "The People's Choice" Tony Bravo in a Strap Match, where the wrestler who touches all four turnbuckles would win the match! Needless to say, the 10-foot leather strap joining Gavin and Bravo at the wrist was a fully legal weapon, and neither hesitated to use it!! Gavin struck first, gouging Bravo's eyes, then burying a knee into his gut!! With The Choice doubled over, Gavin lashed Bravo across the back, then spiked him with a DDT!! The strap limited The California Kid's aerial attack, but he was still able to deliver the occasional rana or flying clothesline, which Bravo ducked, leaving Gavin hitting nothing but air!! Tony Bravo had little trouble with the strap; it didn't stop him from locking on a string of submission holds, nor did it stop him from connected with a few atomic drops and exploder suplexes, and it certainly didn't stop him from choking the fight out of Seth Gavin!! Still The Kid was able to mount a big comeback, scoring with a dropkick from the middle rope and following with a swinging neckbreaker!! Gavin made a move to touch the one turnbuckle, then two, then three, then Tony Bavo blindsided him with a clothesline before he could reach the last corner!! The People's Choice wasted no time locking in a camel clutch, then executing The Standing Ovation before going to touch one turnbuckle, then two, then three, then four, taking the victory!!!

Rufus Knight
Fr: Wessex, England \*/ Ht: 6'5" \*/ Wt: 268
==vs==
Vic Payback
Fr: Reno, NV \*/ Ht" 6'4" \*/ Wt: 260

The card rolled on with Rufus Knight taking on "The Pit Boss" Vic Payback in an Iron Will Match; pinfalls count anywhere in the ring area, are held for a count of five, and in the case of submission, the ref only asks once. If the wrestler refuses to submit he's at the mercy (HA!!) of his opponent! The Pit Boss got this one started with a flurry of left hooks and haymakers, but Knight came underneath him with a few European uppercuts!! Payback came right back at him with forearms to the chest, but The Crusader answered again with knife-edge chops!! The Pit Boss decided he'd had enough jousting and jabbed a thumb in Knight's eye before battering him to the mat with a series of axhandles to the back!! Payback went on to deliver a textbook Northern Lights suplex, but Knight kicked out at three, then beat Payback to his feet and mowed him down with a clothesline!! Rufus Knight scored with a couple of elbowdrops, then tossed Payback around the ring with back suplexes and fallaway slams as El Negro came out to get a first-hand look at the action!! Knight then whipped Payback into the ropes, but The Pit Boss slid under the bottom rope to the outside, but Knight came right after him!! Payback high-tailed it around the ring with Knight in hot pursuit! The Crusader finally caught Payback, turned him around and was blasted by a violin case that Payback had pulled from under the ring!! The Pit Boss bashes Knight a few more times with the violin case, then locks on The Stroke of Luck!! Knight screamed in pain as the ref asked for his submission, and Knight refused!! The ref backed away, leaving The Crusader in Payback's clutches when El Negro came down and grabbed the official by the shirt, ranting and raving about who-knows what!! Just then, Vic Payback goes for the cover, but the ref is distracted!! While Vic applies his own count, who should come charging down the aisle but THE INVADER!! The Conqueror runs in and pulls Payback off of Knight and the two stare each other down!! Then Payback and Invader high-five and begin putting the boots to Rufus Knight!! Invader lifted him high, and Payback came off the ring apron with the flying shoulderblock, reviving The Risky Business!! Invader took El Negro and left the scene as Vic Payback cinched in The Stroke of Luck again!! This time, KNight quickly submitted, giving the match to Vic Payback!!!

RCW World/North American Championship Tournament Match

"Wolverine" Chad Wilson
Fr: Ann Arbor, MI \*/ Ht: 6'6" \*/ Wt: 285
\*vs*/
Rob Holiday
Fr: Yonkers, NY \*/ Ht: 6'7" \*/ Wt: 269

It was finally main event time, and time to crown a brand-new RCW World Champion and a new RCW North American Champion as "Wolverine" Chad Wilson faced Rob Holiday in the final round of the World/North American Title Tournament!! The match began with an intense stand-off, then moved to a Greco-Roman knucklelock!! Both men are powerful competitors, so no one gained an immediate advantage until Holiday blasted Wilson with a knee to the gut, then brought him over with a headlock takedown!! Rob Holiday worked a mat-oriented offense, but Chad Wilson was ready, countering and reversing any hold Holiday threw at him!! Wilson eventually gained the upper hand and began hammering Bobby Vacation with monstrous avalanche presses and shoulderbreakers, scoring a series of near-falls in the process!! But Holiday wasn't finished yet, bringing Wilson to the mat with a drop toehold and opening an offense that combined submission holds and brawling tactics, punctuating anklelocks and figure-four sleepers with fistdrops and stomps!! At one point, Holiday had a cobra clutch locked in, prompting the ref to lift Wilson's arm, letting it fall once, then twice, then throwing his arm in the air, Chad Wilson proved to have some fight left in him!! The Wolverine was placed in several grueling holds, but refused to submit, fighting his way back into the match!! He drove elbow after elbow into Holiday's gut, then spiked him with a huge brainbuster, pinning for the one, two, and three-quarters, as Holiday kicked out!! Wilson pulled Holiday up and dropped him with a front layout suplex, then locked on an STF!! The Wolverine squeezed tightly with the hold, but Rob Holiday was able to just barely reach the ropes and force the break!! Wilson then whipped Bobby Vacation into the ropes and went for a clothesline, but Holiday ducked the move and countered with a Russian legsweep, then clamped on The Holiday Inn!! Chad Wilson was locked into Rob Holiday's finisher in the center of the ring with no chance to escape!! He tried valiantly to break the hold, but was finally forced to submit, giving the match and the victory to the new RCW World Champion, Rob Holiday!!!
