Submission Match

Bloodwulf
Fr: Chicago, IL
Ht: 6'2"
Wt: 230
~+vs+~
Day-Me-N
Fr: Ontario, Canada
Ht: 6'2"
Wt: 227

A capacity crowd filled Davis Memorial Palace as we delivered the latest edition of RCW's biggest event, Royal Rampage V!!! The action began with a Submission Match pitting Bloodwulf against Day-Me-N! Considering that Day-Me-N is the more suited to mat-oriented wrestling while Bloodwulf uses more aerial moves, most have given the edge to The Demonchild, but Bloodwulf came out and showed us just how adept he really is, bringing Day-Me-N to the mat and locking on a series of submission holds!! The Crimson Hound strapped on cobra clutches and half crabs, but Day-Me-N refused to give in, finding a way to escape from each hold!! After some time, Bloodwulf began to run out of steam, while Day-Me-N was just starting to pick up!! The Demonchild slowly began working his own technical holds into the match, then he used a series of power moves (?!) to wear Bloodwulf down before locking in The Blakk Out!! The Crimson Hound was caught in Day-Me-N's finisher, struggling against the pain, but was able to reach the ropes and force the break!! Showing remarkable patience, Day-Me-N continued the attack, scoring with side suplexes and Boston crabs!! Along the way though, Bloodwulf was able to squeeze in a drop toehold that he then turned into a half crab!! Day-Me-N was caught in the middle of the ring in a half crab, . . . but with a little clever maneuvering, The Demonchild answered with an inverted STF!! Now Bloodwulf was caught in the center of the ring with no escape, and was soon forced to submit, giving the match to Day-Me-N!!!

Andy Axle
Fr: Detroit, MI
Ht: 6'6"
Wt: 285
~+vs+~
Ray Castlerock
Fr: Memphis, TN
Ht: 6'5"
Wt: 305

The next match on the card featured two of a talented class of rookies as Andy Axle faced Ray Castlerock in a Cage Match! It wasn't long after the cage door was shut and locked that these two were battering each other with hard elbows and kicks, then tossing each other around the ring with hip tosses and snapmares!! However, the opening pleasantries were quickly dismissed as Ray Castlerock put Andy Axle on the mat with a power slam. then drove several knees into The Greasemonkey's ribs!! Castlerock took lots of opportunities to slam Axle's face into the steel, even straddling him and delivering rapid fire rights to Axle's forehead!! But The Greasemonkey would not stay down, coming right back at The Memphis Monster with atomic drops and sidewalk slams, even sending Castlerock crashing into the cage with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex!! After spiking Ray Castlerock with a DDT, Axle began climbing the cage walls, but was caught by the ankle as Ray showed that he still had some fight left in him!! Castlerock pulled Axle back in, but It was The Greasemonkey laying in the jabs, then crushing Ray with gutbusters and backdrop suplexes!! Axle made another move to escape the cage, but was caught again, this time though, Castlerock grabbed Axle by the tights and pulled him back into the ring!! The Greasemonkey was quick to his feet, charging Castlerock with a forearm, but The Memphis Monster ducked the move and nailed Axle with a low blow!! Castlerock pulled himself to his feet and slwoly began putting some offense together, drilling Andy with hard hooks and jabs, then flooring him with gutwrench suplexes and Samoan drops!! After weakening Andy Axle, Castlerock scored with a remarkable second-rope spinebuster, then made his ascent, climing up the walls, to the top, tossing one leg over, then getting caught by the ankle!! Andy Axle, standing atop the turnbuckle, pulled Castlerock back inside the cage!! The two traded a few hooks and elbows at the top of the steel before Axle landed a hard shot on Castlerock's chin, scooped him up and dove from the top, crushing Castlerock with a power slam!! Both wrestlers were laid out after the move, but Axle was able to get to his feet, climb the cage, cross over the top, and climb down to the arena floor, barely able to stand after winning a hard-fought match!!!

Matrix
Fr: The Outer Limits
Ht: 6'5"
Wt: 270

Guest Referee: "The People's Choice" Tony Bravo

Next up, one of RCW's hottest feuds comes to a head as Blue Phoenix faces Matrix in an Iron Will Match with Tony Bravo serving as referee! Things got underway pretty quickly, with Matrix diving under the ropes and going straight after Blue Phoenix, bashing him with forearms and backing him into the corner!! Matrix then buried a string of knees in The Firebird's gut, then brought him out of the corner with a Northern Lights suplex!! The Revolution pulled Phoenix to his feet, but Blue Phoenix had plans of his own, nailing Matrix with a chop to the throat, then flooring him with a dropkick!! Blue Phoenix came off with a springboard moonsault bodypress that leveled Matrix, then came off the second rope with a somersault elbowdrop, pinning for the one, two, and not enough as Matrix kicks out!! Phoenix complained about a slow count as he pulled Matrix to his feet, but The Revolution came back to life, lifting The Firebird and crushing him with an inverted atomic drop!! Matrix then rocked Blue Phoenix with a clothesline that sent The Firebird over the top rope and down to the arena floor!! Matrix came off the top rope with a flying double axhandle, but Phoenix countered with a wicked chairshot that laid The Revolution out!! Blue Phoenix made the cover as Tony Bravo counted one, two, three, four, and Bravo stopped to clean his fingernails!! Blue Phoenix was furious, getting right into Tony Bravo's face!! The two exchanged heated words as Matrix struggled to his feet, jawing to the point where both men drew back, ready to unload on each other!! Blue Phoenix and Tony Bravo then let the fists fly, . . . all over Matrix!! The Firebird and The People's Choice battered Matrix with forearms and knee smashes, not to mention whips into the ringsteps and vicious chairshots!! Tony Bravo pulled off the fake cast and beat Matrix across the back with it as Blue Phoenix connected with missile dropkick that sent Matrix careening into the guardrail!! From there, Blue Phoenix set Matrix up and delivered The Blazing Spike on the concrete floor, pinning for the five-count and winning the match!!!

The Invader
Fr: Parts Unknown
Ht: 6'6"
Wt: 280
~+vs+~
Night Train James
Fr: Atlanta, GA
Ht: 6'6"
Wt: 310

We apologize in advance for the brevity of this review; words simply cannot contain the brutality present in this Strap Match between The Invader and Night Train James. This was a slugfest from the word "go," some would say even before that: Invader left the ring to start the brawl as Night Train was coming down the aisle; It took the ref 6 minutes just to get the strap tied onto both wrestlers' wrists; the timekeeper's table, a ringside monitor, and a set of ringsteps were all destroyed before the two had even entered the ring!! Once inside, there were Night Train shoulderbreakers, Invader backbreakers, Night Train gorilla presses, Invader brainbusters, . . . at one point, The Invader hanged The Train over the top rope with the leather strap!!! And at another point, Night Train power slammed The Conqueror through the announcers' table!! There was a whole lot of heart (not to mention sadism) shown in this match, but finally, after all of Night Train's Sammartino backbreakers, after all of The Invader's Boston crabs, after all of the blood was spilled, after the German suplexes, DDTs, and tiger drivers, it was Night Train James, nailing The Invader with a spinebuster on the arena floor, who made the pin and scored the one, two, and three in this incredibly taxing and draining match!!!

Triple Threat Table Match

Kerry "Carnage" Carter
~+vs+~
Raven Midknight
~+vs+~
RCW Cruiserweight Champion
"Sensational" Johnny Lee

There is no question as to who RCW's top stars are in the cruiserweight division, but there is still some debate as to who the best of that triumvirate truly is, and that is the issue that would be settled in this RCW Cruiserweight Championship Triple Threat Table Match pitting Kerry "Carnage" Carter, Raven Midknight, and champion "Sensational" Johnny Lee against each other! Midknight and Lee didn't bother waiting for the champion to get things going, ripping into each other as soon as The Darkbird hit the ring!! But while they were in the throes of combat, Johnny Lee made his presence felt by coming off the top rope with a crossbody press that leveled both challengers!! The first fall was red-hot all the way through, as Johnny Lee was a marked man, and Midknight and Carter were merciless in their attack on him!! The Sensational One fought hard, but was unable to stop the tandem attack of Raven Midknight and Kerry Carter!! With Carnage launching Johnny Lee over the top rope and through the timekeeper's (second) table, we knew we would have a new champion!!
-Kerry Carter eliminates Johnny Lee-

The second fall witnessed a rematch of Friday Night Fury from a couple of weeks ago, where Raven Midknight bested Kerry Carter!! And from the looks of those opening spinning back kicks and flying fists, it looked as though Carnage remembered quite well what happened that night!! But even as he fired at Midknight with somersault axhandles and flying kneedrops, The Darkbird kept right on coming, scoring with dazzling huracanranas and and even an inverted 450 splash!! The turning point came when Raven Midknight came off the top rope with a kneedrop, but Kerry Carter moved away!! Moving slowly but smelling victory, Carnage made his way to the top rope, only to get cut off by Midknight!! The Darkbird dropkicked Carter in the knee, causing him to fall groin-first on the top turnbuckle!! Then Raven Midknight delivered a textbook huracanrana, sending Carter flying from the top rope through a ringside table (we're guessingit was for media), eliminating Carter and winning the RCW Cruiserweight Championship!!!

Crowbar-On-A-Pole Match

The Boog-man
Fr: Alexandria, LA
Ht: 6'4"
Wt: 265
~+vs+~
RCW United States Champion
Jake Rockwell
Fr: Anchorage, AK
Ht: 6'4"
Wt: 260

Once again, it didn't take long for the fists to start flying as The Boog-man stepped in against RCW United States Champion Jake Rockwell in a Crowbar-On-A-Pole Match!! Rockwell was hammering in the jabs and elbows to start, but Boog responded with European uppercuts and roundhouse kicks, finishing with an insane spinning faceslam!! The World's Original then connected with a somersault legdrop, following with a reverse DDT before climbing the turnbuckles and reaching for the crowbar!! Jake Rockwell struggled to his feet and dove for Boog's leg, but couldn't make it, allowing The Boog-man to grab the crowbar from the pole!! Seeing that Boog now had a sizable advantage, Rockwell got to his knees and begged for mercy!! Unfazed, The Boog-man locked his eyes on The Rock, reared way back, and threw the crowbar out of the ring (??)!! Rockwell watched the weapon fly over the top rope and down to the arena floor, so he never saw The Boog-man's front dropkick coming!! The challenger continued his assault mixing aerial attacks with solid technical wrestling to keep Jake Rockwell subdued!! But mat wrestling is one of Rockwell's areas of expertise, and he was able to make a few key reversals, ---a leg hammerlock here, a rear chinlock there--- and gain control of the match!! Boog continued to fire shots at Rockwell, but The Rock was getting warmed up, blasting The World's Original with diving clotheslines and neckbreakers!! At one point, Jake Rockwell tossed The Boog-man out of the ring, then retrieved the crowbar, . . . and it was all downhill from there!! The Rock was merciless with the weapon, bashing Boog across the back, in the head, but especially between the shoulderblades!! The World's Original struggled to hold on, getting back to the ring and trying to get some offense going, but Rockwell would not be denied!! After pounding Boog some more with the crowbar (even busting him open), Jake Rockwell locked on The Full Nelson, quickly gaining the submission victory!!!

Nick Fury

Ht: 6'8"

~+vs+~
RCW North American Champion
Adam Adonis
Fr: Los Angeles, CA
Ht: 6'4"
Wt: 245

Next up, Nick Fury ---a slimmer, leaner Nick Fury--- challenged RCW North American Champion Adam Adonis in a Ladder Match for the belt! Fury was completely focused on the goal at hand, going after Adonis the moment the bell rang!! Adonis, sensing Fury's intensity, . . . ran!! The Heartbreaker scrambled around the ring with Fury in hot putsuit until he stopped dead in his tracks, turned around and clotheslined the daylights out of Nick Fury!! Fury staggered backward and Adonis dropkicked The Legal Eagle in the gut, then planted him with a DDT!! The champion added a few stomps and face rakes for good measure before leaving the ring and retrieving the ladder, shoving it through the ropes and climbing in after it!! Adonis pulled Fury to his feet, but Nick was ready to go, grabbing Adam Adonis and nailing him with an inverted atomic drop, then leveling him with a clothesline that nearly turned the champion over!! Fury pulled Adonis up and hip tossed him onto the ladder, then came off the ropes with a huge elbowdrop!! The RCW North American Title belt hung in the air above the ring as Nick Fury blasted Adam Adonis with dragon suplexes and Saturn bombs!! Soon, Fury had set the ladder up and was making an attempt at the belt, but Adonis quickly scrambled up after him and pulled him down!! The Legal Eagle was still going though, pulling Adonis up and catching a thumb to the eye, a knee to his gut, an elbow to his head, then a swinging neckbreaker!! The Heartbreaker was trying to stay in it, using a few submission holds on Fury to wear him down!! After a couple of ankle locks and figure-four sleepers, Adonis made his way up the ladder!! But the punishment he took from Fury earlier slowed him down, giving Nick Fury the chance to grab the ladder and pull the apparatus down, sending Adonis crashing into the turnbuckle and bringing the ladder toppling onto him as well!! Nick Fury looked skyward at the belt, then pulled the ladder off of the champion!! But as he did, Adam Adonis shoved the ladder forward, striking Fury in the knees, nearly hyperextending them!! The Heartbreaker hurriedly set up the ladder as Fury fought the pain to get to his feet!! Adonis began making his way up one side with Fury dragging himself up the other!! Along the way, Adonis took a misstep, allowing Fury to pull ahead and grab the belt!! But before he could pull it free, Adonis jabbed Fury below the belt, gouged his eyes, and reached up and pulled the belt from the wire, stealing the match and the RCW North American Championship defense!!!

Strictly Business

~+vs+~
RCW World Tag Team Champions
The Commission
w/ Jasmine
{Victor Shade & Donald Blake}
Combined Wt: 543

In a "No Stipulations Needed" contest between two of RCW's top tag teams, Strictly Business stepped in to face RCW World Tag Team Champions The Commission! Handshakes started the match, but pretty soon all four men were trading technical maneuvers and power moves!! Warren Knight and Victor Shade started things, with Knight getting the upper hand first, working over Shade using submission holds and technical moves, smoothly transitioning from top wristlock to hammerlock to front facelock to leg grapevine!! But Shade countered with a half crab, then delivered a few kneelifts and forearm shots before tagging in Donald Blake!! Blake and Shade were in control for a good portion of the match, but Knight kept fighting, eventually countering a back body drop with a gutwrench suplex, and making the tag to Jesse Bishop!! Knight and Bishop were soon working the old Strictly Business magic, tagging quickly and using damaging double-team maneuvers!! However, it was now Donald Blake's turn to play the irrepressible adversary, as the champion fought back with all he had, finding a way to foil Strictly Business's double clothesline with a flying double clothesline of his own!! From here, The Commission shifted into high gear, with Shade coming back in to provide the atomic drops and backbreakers, and Blake delivering the half nelsons and stepover toeholds!! Knight and Bishop fought hard, but the champions had hit their stride and were operating at peak performance!! Before long, Shade had Bishop by the legs as Blake stood on the top rope just as Ric Samson and Mike Smith stormed the ring!!! The ref called for the bell as Samson blasted Shade with a briefcase and Smith shoved Blake off of the turnbuckle!! Warren Knight tried to make the save, but Grakkar and Calibus hit the ring and cut him off, then went after Jesse Bishop!! The Minions dragged Strictly Business to the arena floor as Dominion battered The Commission in the ring!! Just then, Jonathan Steel came down to the ring to aid his Firm partners, but Samsona nd Smith pounced on him like rabid dogs, bashing him over the head with the briefcase, then delivering a spike powerbomb!! As Minions of Darkness and Strictly Business battled to the backstage area, Dominion grabbed the tag team belts, held them high, then threw them down at the champions!!!

RCW WORLD CHAMPION
The Executive
Fr: New York, NY
Ht: 6'4"
Wt: 260

Davis Memorial Palace was deafening as the main event of the evening approached: "The Stalker" Jack McGriff versus RCW World Champion The Executive for the belt!! For over two months, since their memorable Iron Will Match at Superclash, Jack McGriff has been battling to return to World Title contention, also fighting The SyndiCorp along the way! The Stalker finally won the right to face The Executive by defeating Jake Rockwell at Battle Supreme, and stepped into the ring to collect! In order to name a winner, one man had to score three consecutive pinfall victories ("pinfall" meaning by pin or submission), and considering the level of skill that both of these superstars represent, that turned out to be quite a difficult task! Even with three falls thrown out (The CEO was disqualified twice for using the briefcase; McGriff lost one by countout), this match was truly a memorable contest! The fans witnessed nine falls ---and nearly an hour and a half--- of action that ended with . . .

. . . McGriff countering an Executive clothesline with an armbar legdrop, then nailing The CEO with a shoulderbreaker for the three-count!!
-Jack McGriff pins The Executive with a shoulderbreaker-
. . . The Executive coming off the ropes into a McGriff hip toss, but countering with a crucifix, rolling The Stalker up and scoring the pin!!

. . . The Executive going back to work on McGriff's lower back, softening him up and locking in a camel clutch, forcing the submission!!

. . . McGriff fighting through the pain only to get caught coming off the ropes in a windmill backbreaker as The CEO scores a three-count!!

-The Executive makes Jack McGriff submit to The Hostile Takeover-

The arena shuddered with boos as The Executive held the belt high and Jake Rockwell came down to the ring to celebrate, wagging his crowbar at the fans!! The Rock entered the ring, held The CEO's hand high, soaked in the jeers alongside him, then waffled him between the eyes with the crowbar!!! Rockwell grabbed the belt and said how it should have been him in this ring tonight, either winning or defending the World Title!! For one, he had McGriff beaten at Battle Supreme, and for two, he's been forced to watch The Executive serve as an inept World Champion, dragging the federation and The Syndicate down with him!! The Rock then served notice that The SyndiCorp is hereby resolved and that his eyes are squarely on the World Title!! With that, he whacked The Executive with the crowbar, then McGriff, then left them both lying in the ring!!!
