We were once again in the friendly confines of Davis Memorial Palace in the company of a sold-out crowd ready for Conqueror's Quest!!! One of RCW's top four contenders would earn a shot at RCW World Champion The Executive, but only after surviving a taxing tournament, and the first two combatants were more than ready to get it started as "The Stalker" Jack McGriff faced The Invader! It was only 48 hours ago that The Invader made McGriff submit to The Conquest, but judging by the huge elbows and forearms that these two hammered each other with, it's clear that this war is far from over!! Jack McGriff took control early on, blasting The Invader in the gut with a series of knees, then driving elbows between The Conqueror's shoulderblades!! The Stalker then went to work with a few gutwrench suplexes and pumphandle slams, even clamping on the occasional half crab or octopus hold to keep The Invader down!! But even with McGriff's relentless offense, The Conqueror was still able to fight his way free, backing The Stalker up with forearms to the ribcage, then nailing McGriff with a pair of headbutts!! The Invader then whipped Jack McGriff cross-corner, following in with a huge shoulderblock, then power slamming McGriff to the mat for the two-count!! The Invader pulled The Stalker to his feet, but McGriff surprised The Conqueror with a series of hard rights to the gut, slowing The Invader down!! But Invader quickly put a stop to that spurt of offense with a crushing tiger driver, following with a big kneedrop!! The Conqueror pulled McGriff to his feet, and lifted him for a backdrop suplex, but Jack McGriff countered with a huge bulldog!! The Stalker then connected with a windmill backbreaker, then went for belly-to-belly suplex, but The Invader countered with an inverted atomic drop, following with a clothesline!! The Invader then whipped McGriff into the ropes, but The Stalker reversed it!! Still, The Invader came off the ropes with a charging clothesline, but McGriff kicked The Conqueror in the midsection, pulled him high and crushed The Invader with The Assault, pinning for the one, two, and three, winning the match and advancing in the tournament!!!

Two close friends, both with a renewed focus, stepped in for the second match of the tournament as McGriff met Night Train James! A handshake started the match, then a tie-up that saw Night Train take McGriff over with a fireman's carry takedown, then drive a knee into The Stalker's ribs!! The Train whipped McGriff into the ropes and connected with a diving shoulderblock, then scored with a wishbone suplex!! It was clear that McGriff was fighting through the shots he took in the opening match (and possibly through the damage he suffered Friday night), but he refused to back down, coming back at Night Train with big axhandles and forearms to the chest!! But The Train answered with knife edge chops and European uppercuts!! Pretty son, the two allies were going blow-for-blow, with Jack McGriff coming away with the best shots, backing Night Train into the corner and whipping him across the ring!! The Stalker followed in with a huge clothesline that sent Night Train James over the top rope and down to the arena floor!! Instead of going out to continue the fight, McGriff backed off and let the ref apply the count (and maybe catch his breath) as Night Train struggled to his feet!! The ref's count was up to five when The Invader crept to the ring and bashed McGriff in the back of the head with a crowbar, then jabbed the weapon into The Stalker's lower back!! Night Train pulled himself into the ring as The Invader skulked away, and went straight after McGriff, blasting him with a vertical suplex, then whipping him into the ropes and crushing him with a spinebuster, making the cover and scoring the three-count!!!

Having bested one ally, Night Train James was set to take on another in RCW North American Champion Nick Fury! Whereas it was questionable as to whether or not McGriff was still smarting from his Friday night match, it was much more obvious in Nick Fury's case; The Legal Eagle strutted to the ring with a noticable limp and a number of bruises sprinkled about his head and back! Nevertheless, after the opening handshake, Fury took it straight to Night Train James, bringing him to the mat with a single-leg takedown, then scoring with a few elbowdrops to the gut, following with a reverse kneelock!! The Train scrambled to get to the ropes to force the break, but Fury was right back on him, flooring James with swinging neckbreakers and Russian legsweeps!! The North American Champion then went for a gutwrench suplex, but Night Train countered with a back body drop, earning a chance to catch his breath!! It was here that Fury began to show some cracks in the dam, struggling to his feet and giving Night Train the chance to level him with a huge charging clothesline!! The Train then went to work with vertical suplexes and Samoan drops, focusing on Fury's back and scoring several two-counts!! The Legal Eagle wasn't completely out of it though, managing to catch Night Train with a few spinning elbows and drop toeholds, but when he went to bring The Train over with a verical suplex, James blocked the maneuver and scored with one of his own!! From there, Night Train tried to squeeze the fight out of Nick Fury with bearhugs and camel clutches, but it wasn't until he locked in a Boston crab that the North American Champion was forced to submit, giving Night Train James the win and the shot at The Executive!!!

Next up, Kerry "Carnage" Carter stepped in to challenge RCW Cruiserweight Champion Raven Midknight in a Ladder Match! This one was underway in no time as Carter ambushed Midknight as the champion handed the belt to the referee!! Kerry Carter battered Raven Midknight with spinning back kicks and back elbows, then monkey flipped him to the center of the ring!! As the champion got to his feet, Carnage came sailing through the air with a moonsault bodypress!! Carter whipped Midknight into the ropes, but The Darkbird reversed the move, sending Carter in instead!! But the challenger slid under the ropes and out to the arena floor, where he pulled a ladder from beneath the ring!! Carter lifted the ladder just as Midknight came with a baseball slide knocking it into Carter's face, and Carter into the guardrail!! Midknight then came off the ring apron with a flying axhandle, nailing Carter square in the forehead!! Raven Midknight then lifted the ladder and shoved it into the ring, but before he could re-enter, Kerry Carter bashed him across the back with a chair!! As Midknight lay on the apron, Carter scored a few more shots, then climbed up to join him!! After a little positioning, Carnage springboarded off the top rope and sent Raven crashing through the timekeeper's table with a rana!! Then, as the champion lay in a bed of splinters, Carter came off the top turnbuckle with a corkscrew bodypress!! Kerry Carter rolled Midknight into the ring, set up the ladder, and made for the belt!! But Midknight was able to push the ladder over, sending Carter onto the top rope groin-first!! The Darkbird then sent carter back to the arena floor with a springboard heel kick, then he set up the ladder himself!! The ref waved frantically, telling Midknight that he can't go for the belt unless Carter was in the ring, but as The Raven neared the top of the structure, it was clear that he wasn't going for the belt!! As Kerry Carter got back to his feet, Raven Midknight launched off of the ladder, over the top rope, and into Carnage with a somersault plancha that brought the whole building to its feet!! It took a moment, but Midknight got back to his feet, rolled Carter into the ring, then climbed (staggered?) up the ladder, grabbing the belt and defending the Cruiserweight Championship!!!

In our next match, two very impressive youngsters met to fill the space left by Jake Rockwell as Matrix and Jonathan Steel locked up in the final round of the United States Championship Tournament! After a bit of circling, the two locked up and what followed was a remarkable exhibition of solid fundamental and technical wrestling!! Matrix floored Steel with waistlock takedowns and tied him in knots with octopus holds, while The Real Deal put Matrix on the mat with gutwrench suplexes and drained him with STF's!! At one point, Steel was able to deliver a string of power moves, and at another, The Revolution had Steel locked up with a series of submission holds!! Control of the match went back and forth more times than we can convey here, but it made for an excellent wrestling match!! In the end, Jonathan Steel had worked his way to the advantage, punishing Matrix with shoulderbreakers and figure-four headlocks, but The Revolution kept finding a way to kick out at two!! The Real Deal continued the attack with a Samoan drop, but Matrix rolled through it, pulling Steel into a crucifix, and locking him in for the one, two, and thrashing wildly, Steel freed a shoudler, breaking the count!! But Matrix was getting in gear, locking on a cross armbreaker, then connecting with an armbar legdrop!! The Revolution then whipped Steel into the ropes, but The Real Deal caem back with a charging clothesline!! Alertly, Matrix ducked the move and locked on The Inner Sanctum!! Jonathan Steel was caught in The Inner Sanctum, fighting to hang on, and hang on he did, to the middle rope that was just inside hie grasp!! The ref forced the break, but Matrix was coming at full force, nailing Steel with a Saturn bomb, then going for a DDT!! But Steel countered the move with a Northern Lights suplex, bridging for the one, two, and three, winning the match and reclaiming the United States Championship!!!

Next up, Dominion tried to make good on their shot at RCW World Tag Team Champions The Commission! Smith and Samson have done some pretty nasty things in an effort to get at the champions, so it was a surprise to no one that this match got started with a raucous brawl!! Fists, feet, and bodies were flying everywhere, but after the smoek cleared, it was Donald Blake with a cobra clutch on Mike Smith, driving a knee into Smith's ribs every now and again!! The Commission worked the ring against Dominion mostly keeping the match on their side of the mat, but there were a couple of instances where Samson and Smith simply bullied their way into the corner to make a tag!! The display of Dominion's brute-force power move offense versus the finesse and control of The Commission's strategy was more impressive, making for a very exciting match with lots of near-falls!! At one point, though, Ric Samson was battering Blake with heavy axhandles, when he decided to give a few hard-knuckle greetings to Shade on the ring apron!! Shade had had enough and stormed the ring, but Smith came in to meet him, and another four-man brawl erupted!! In no time, Smith and Shade were on the arena floor as Blake and Samson slugged it out in the ring!! Shade has Smith on the run, whipping him into the guardrail, then into the ringsteps!! He pulled Smith to his feet, but quickly caught a briefcase shot smooth in the face!! Mike Smith then bashed Shade with the weapon a few more times before climbing back into the ring and blindsiding Blake with a German suplex!! Dominion took a moment to stomp Don Blake, then delivered The Deadly Domination!! Ric Samson made the pin as Smith continued to batter Shade, scoring the three-count and winning the World Tag Team Titles!!! Dominion continued to score cheap shots on the former champs, until Jonathan Steel came down with a chair, sending The Corporate Raiders scattering!!!

RCW WORLD CHAMPION
The Executive
Fr: New York, NY
Ht: 6'4"

It was time for the main event, and considering the matchup, for old battles to be revisited as Night Train James stepped in to challenge RCW World Champion The Executive!! The two met at the center of the ring and exchanged words, and apparently, The Train didn't take too kindly to The Executive's greetings because he unloaded a barrage of forearms and hooks that brought The CEO to the mat!! Night Train straddled the champion and drilled stiff rights and lefts into his face until the ref dragged him off!! The Train's eyes were ablaze as The Executive got back to his feet, but as soon as he did, Night Train came right at him with a charging shoulderblock!! but The CEO was ready, bringing James to the mat with drop toehold, then connecting with a kneedrop to The Train's head, then dropping an elbow to his lower back, and finishing with an inverted STF!! Night Train was able to fight his way free, but as soon as he did, The Executive had another backbreaker, gutwrench suplex, Boston crab series waiting for him!! The challenger refused to give in though, countering an Executive sleeperhold with a jawbreaker, then bringing the champion down with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex!! The Train was beginning to warm up, pulling The Executive up and catching a thumb to the eye, then being whipped mercilessly into the turnbuckle!! The CEO mounted Night Train up, then delivered a huge superplex, making the cover and scoring the two-count!! The champion whipped Night Train into the ropes, but James came back with a running forearm!! The Executive sidestepped the move though, and nailed The Train with an atomic drop, following with a German suplex, bridging for the one, two, and three/fourths!! Night Train was quick getting back to his feet, but not quick enough to beat The Executive's tiger driver, which he followed with The Hostile Takeover!! Night Train fought the pain, refusing to submit as The CEO poured the pressure on James's lower back!! Before long, The Train was forced to submit, giving the win and the title defense to The Executive!!!
