Boundary Waters 1999
The Fourth of July Storm

To my dear friends Boo, Tor, and Ken:

These amazing pictures will never tell the story of what we went through on the Fourth of July, 1999. Mother Nature provided her own fireworks for us to observe. Thank God we were all safely tucked under that rock miles from camp. Somehow all the sweat, tears, determination, f-bombs, and laughs we shared got us out of the wilderness. I'll never forget the trees we climbed over, around, under and through. I never forget nearly knocking myself out on a fallen tree. I'll never forget telling you to stop sawing and start working on getting to the next lake. I'll never forget that I spent a memorable and wonderful weekend with my best friends.
