Daniel Kopcso


C.S.C.S.

Dan Kopcso, C.S.C.S is the Assistant Strength Coach at Tufts University. He has prepared athletes of various sports for competition over the last seven years. During this time, Dan has worked with countless athletes with wide ranging needs from weight reduction to performance enhancement and rehabilitation. In his current position he is responsible for the training of Tufts' varsity teams, as well as the individual training of athletes needing specific rehabilitation. He currently trains an X-Games skier and a top-ranked Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/Submission Wrestler. While working at Mike Boyle’s Strength and Conditioning Centers over the summer of 2003, Dan worked with many professional hockey players as well as several NFL athletes. At the culmination of the 2002 season, Dan was brought in as a performance consultant to the Babson College Men’s Basketball team. An athlete himself, Dan plays hooker for the Mystic River Rugby Team, as well as sparring in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. His other athletic hobbies include boxing and running the occasional charity 5k.

Dan Kopcso, starting hooker and captain, used his experience and leadership to boost the play of those around him. As a multi-year winner of the team’s Most Dedicated Award, Dan relied on his unwavering will to eventually wear down his opponents. In a sport that is played for 80 minutes with little break, conditioning is the ultimate weapon. Dan was always the most well-armed player on the field.
