The Rams have agreed to contract terms with two more draft picks - fourth-round selections Az-Zahir Hakim of San Diego State and Roland Williams of Syracuse.
Hakim, a wide receiver chosen No. 96 overall, has agreed to a three-year, $799,000 deal that includes a $259,000 signing bonus. Williams, a tight end taken No. 98, agreed to a three-year, $796,000 deal that includes a $256,000 signing bonus.
Still unsigned among the team's eight picks are first-rounder Grant Wistrom, the defensive end from Nebraska, and fifth-rounder Raymond Priester, a running back from Clemson. Rams executive vice president Jay Zygmunt met with Wistrom's agent, Tom Condon, on Tuesday and Wednesday in Chicago.
The Rams also have released five players as they work toward their training
camp roster limit of 80. Cut were safety Billy Austin, linebacker Troy Dumas,
wide receiver Tyrone Goodson, punter Mark Schultis and offensive lineman Jamie
Sumner. Dumas was the only player in the group who played for the Rams last
season, appearing in two games as a reserve. Austin, Goodson and Schultis were
rookie free agents, and Sumner was signed three weeks ago after the team
released John Gerak.
