The Rams have yet to sign the cornerback they've coveted, but on Thursday they added another player at that position.

Willie Clark, 26, who last played with the Philadelphia Eagles, has agreed to a one-year deal for $700,000 that includes a $100,000 signing bonus.

After playing at Notre Dame, the 5-foot-10, 186-pound Clark was the third-round draft pick of the San Diego Chargers in 1994. He was with San Diego for three seasons, his first of which the Chargers went to the Super Bowl.

After six starts in three years, Clark was waived by San Diego on Aug. 24, 1997, and Baltimore picked him up the next day. Days later, he was traded to the Eagles.

Meanwhile, veteran cornerback Ryan McNeil has yet to sign with the Rams. In
early March, he was offered a four-year, $13 million contract, including a $3.6
million signing bonus, but he is awaiting a multiyear offer.
