Welcome to the homepage of the Kevin's Cool Site Platinum Award.
This award, will be given out to site's that I find are considered to be "Platinum". This is probably the highest standard for websites today. I will award sites that I feel live up to that name.
What does it take to be considered in this elite group? Well, I find that there are two important qualities that must be there. First, the site must be well designed. It must be graphically and visually appealing. Second, and more importantly, it needs to be informative. A website without information is like a boat without any paddles. I will not give this award out to any site that does not meet these two requirements. But, also to be considered "Platinum" a webpage must go above and beyond those two requirements. That is why, this award will be so tough to win.
I just want to say, that just because I am giving this award out, doesn't mean that I think I am a better webdesigner than others. In fact, my own site I feel isn't even up to this standard yet. But, I will enforce these qualities that I feel are "Platinum" qualities.
I will, try my best to keep a winner's log on the award winners page. But, due to the time constraints of being a Colosseum Community Leader and other things, I will not be able to email the non-recipients of the award. If you don't recieve an email within 2-3 weeks, then you have not won the award. But, do not despare because, you can always apply again when you feel your site meets these standards.
I wanted to mention a little about the authenticity of this award. How will you know if the person whose graphic is on there page really won the award? Well, there are two ways. First, I will be posting all winners on the award winners page. Secondly, every winning site will recieve the graphic through email. This graphic will contain the winning sites name. Thus, this is sort of a "stamp" of authenticity since I am the only one that can put their name on the award.
Next, I just wanted to let you know that I will not accept any sites that are of an adult nature or are offensive in any way. These types of sites will not even be a second thought. And, if your site resides in geocities, make sure it abides by the content guidlines. If it doesn't, I will be forced not to award it the "Platinum" award.
Finally, if you win the award, you MUST link it back to my site at http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Arena/4887. If it does not, then I will not list you under the award winners section.
