This page is my page on Jesus Christ and God. It is dedicated to the one who has helped me through all of the strife in anxiety in my life.
Now, you're probably saying to yourself that this is the stupidest thing you've ever heard of. And you're probably saying," yeah right how can JESUS help you through anxiety, anger, strife, bitterness, etc,. "
RIGHT!! Wasn't that what you were thinking!! Well there are many bible references to your doubts. How about something we all know. Psalm 23. In that psalm it says " yea though I walk through the shadow of death I will fear no evil." Well doesn't it? What that means is that no matter what may be happening to you when you have Jesus in your heart you have someone to lean on. Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying that Jesus is only a source of strength to lean on but once you accept him into your heart he should also be your drive in life(to serve him). This means that you should no longer look to yourself for strength but to Jesus and your new found salvation.
Now I'm not saying that you'll be sin or temptation free after you accept salvation. All I'm saying is that once you accept Jesus into your heart he gives you the power to overcome sin and teptation.(That's why I said before that once you accept salvation you have Jesus and your new found faith to lean on).
Now you may ask,"What do I get out of getting Saved?(or thinking what's in it for me) Well, here are a few lists of Bible scriptures that clearly state what you get out of salvation.
#1:Confession-Acts 2:21
#2:Repentance- Mark 1:15
#3: Faith-John 3:14-18
#4:Regeneration- John 3:3-8
#5:Holy Scripture- 2 Tim. 3:15
#1:Sin-Matthew 1:21
#2:Satan's Power: Hebrews 2:14-15
#3:Wrath-Rom. 5:9
#4:Eternal Death-John 3:16-17
Sound good yet? Are you starting to think that getting saved might not be such a bad idea? Well, here is what you have been waiting for. The list of good things we get from accepting salvation. (I hpoe you got out your Bible and have looked up and read the scriptures.)
#1: Chosen to-2 Thess. 2:13
#2: Appointed to-1 Thess. 5:9
#3: Kept unto-1 Pet. 1:5
#4: Rejoiced in-1 Pet. 4:13
#5: To be worked out-Phil. 2:12
Well after seeing that list, do you want to accept Jesus into your heart? Well, if you do all that you need to do is say the following prayer to yourself. But, you must not only say it, but mean it in your heart. He is the prayer:
Dear God, I am a sinner. I know I have done wrong in my life. I repent of my sins and will change my ways from this moment on. Lord, I accept the fact that you died for me on the cross and paid the price of sin and death. I accept you into my heart. And lord I pray that you will forgive me and accept me into your kingdom. Thank you Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.
Congratulations!!! Welcome to the kingdom of God!! Now that you have accepted him into your heart, you will have to do a few things to move forward in your new found faith.
One is that you need to Pray to the Lord everyday. This only means talking to him as if he was a friend of yours here on earth. There are no these, thous, and arts that you need to say.
Secondly, is that you will need to read the bible everyday. Read it and study it. Because we talk to God through prayer, God talks to us through his word. That is why it is so important to read his word everyday.
Finally, you will need to find a good church to go to so that you can be nurtured in your new faith with other believers who are going through the same things that you are.
That's it. I welcome you to the kingdom. Now, you may have a few questions about your new faith. That is okay and very normal. Click on the link below to find some helpful sites which explain your newfound faith in more detailed terms.
And remember, that in your newfound faith that you will have trials and temptations. But, Jesus has overcome sin and death. Godbless!
