This is how I found the project boat that is featured in this web site. It was sitting in the weeds, a cover in tattered pieces making a futile attempt at covering the boat. The owner put a new battery in, added a water hookup to the sterndrive and it fired first try - A very good sign. It was tempered by the strong smell of gasoline permeating throughout the boat. In my naivete I thought it might have been from adding gas to get the boat started. As I came to learn later the fuel tank was rusted through in several places
