Description: This walled port city lies nestled in a small valley in the Earthspur Mountains. It is a cold and windswept on the southeastern coast of the Moonsea. The area around the city is sparse vegetation and barren rock. A thriving city of industry, commerce and intrigue.

Government/Defense: The high stone walls with but a single gate that is guarded by South Road Keep [an ancient castle dating back to the city's origin] are the main physical defense of the city. Its army consists of about 6000 well-trained soldiers who serve for 6 years. They are recruited from Mulmaster and the overcrowded cities of Vallon Reach. They serve as city guards, land patrols, marines and diplomatic envoys. The Cloaks periodically examine their loyalty through magic

The current high Blade is one Selfaril a very clever and dangerous man. The Blades is the ruling council composed of 16 nobles. This council is known to be a puppet government.

Trade: They're main exports are arms, armor, ships and jewelry. They import food, liquor, cloth, and luxury items. They also have a good sized fishing fleet that is protected by their navy. Taxes: Nobles and temples pay an annual entitlement tax of 100gp, merchants a monthly caravan tax of 10gp per caravan and 20 gp per ship they operate or hire. Also a mercantile tax of 5 gp / month and a required to collect a sales tax of 1cp per transaction. Employees pay a head tax of one 2p per person in their families.

Temples: The city is full of temples and shrines. The strongest is the Black Lord's Altar led by The Master Strifelord of Cyric Szchulan Darkoon. The High House of Hurting dedicated to Loviatar, run by Whipmistress Milauteera Argauthiir. Tempus is represented by the High Hall of Swords run by High Priest-Captain Ghallas "Foesmiter" Kheinstar. The Tower of Mysteries, a temple of Azuth caters almost exclusively to the Cloaks. Also a temple to Tymora: The Gate of Good Fortune rounds out the major temples. Other smaller ones include shrines to Lathander, Malar, Mask, Talos and Umberlee.

Organizations: The Brotherhood of the Cloak is the Mulmaster Mage's guild and strictly supervises the use of magic in the city. All mages are required to be members. Strict punishment for non-members casting spells. The only ones exempt from this law are diplomatic attaches or royal court wizards. The Cloaks have a guild hall called the Tower of Arcane Might. The current Senior Cloak is Thurndan Tallwand.

Points and Places of Interest: The Tower of Blades, Tower of the Wyvern, Traveler's Cloak Inn, The Wave and Wink, Lighthouse.

The people of the city are ambitious and always on the lookout to improve their station w ver the means. Visitors are prime targets and not a few unwary folk have lost all they own if not their lives on the streets of this city.
