CLUB OVERVIEW

Daramalan Rowing Club is a community based club established in 1992. The club has a focus on young people from the Daramalan School community in north Canberra A.C.T. Australia.
The club has 100+ active members at October 2001, This includes several Masters members, mainly parents of other rowers. The club has members from other schools other than Daramalan (eg Merici College, St Francis Xavier)
The club is administered under a constitution by an elected committee. The Head Rowing Coach is Sue Donoghoe, Club meetings are held monthly, each first Tuesday of the month. Rowers compete in regattas held on Lake Burley Griffin, CANBERRA. Club members also compete in the Independent Schools Rowing Association (ISRA) regatta each year, and at National level competition

These are photos taken at the second competition for the season ( 8/11/97). A Development Regatta run by the
Canberra Girls Grammer School. This was a training regatta for the benefit of both new competitors and new
officials.
