Configures modems, multiplexors, and secure encryption devices for operations. Troubleshoots circuit failures and repairs twisted pair cable and fiber-optic segments. Highlights: Designed and installed a building-wide, protected, distribution system and a fiber-optic communications wide area network meeting 100 percent of established compliance standards. Configured and managed an automated office communications system utilizing excess spare equipment establishing a common database for all personnel. Authored and streamlined local area network server utility programs reducing processor utilization by 30 percent in addition to freeing up valuable data base areas.
