Czechoslovakia
Czechoslovakia's first Olympic Champion prior to WW2 was gymnast Bedrich Supcik, a 25-year old, who won the now discontinued Rope climbing event on 20 July 1924 at Paris. A team bronze in the same year and a team silver in 1928 completed his set of medals.
9 Czechoslovak athletes have won their country's 7 Olympic Gold medals between 1924 and 1936.
