Ok, i understand that i cannot prevent you from taking these photos, but i took them myself. with my own film, my own time, everything. (not to say that it wasn't worth it, because it DEFINATELY was!) but these smaller thumbnail pictures are mine, so i implore you, from one jt fan to another, please do not take them from this site. By all means, enjoy, but please leave them here!!
JT's 98 Season
10/19: JT started off this season rather sluggishly, but who can blame him? My prayers were with him as he suffered the loss of his mother to her long battle with cancer. When he returned from his time off, he was a man with a mission. Dedicating his first homerun to his mother was only the start of a new JT. Now when he goes out there it seems like he plays the game for the love of the game, as was the case when he hit 2 homeruns and a double at an Angels v Giants game i attended. Once agan, JT kicked butt, winning his fourth straight Gold Glove, but with only one error, who else was there to pick? He finished the season a respectable .248, with 79 RBIs and 15 HRs. Not his best season, but after the year he had, who can blame him? The Giants came SO CLOSE to the post-season this year! Their winning streak in the last week of the regular season was remarkable, they fell just short though, losing to the Chicago Cubs in a one game playoff. Hmm, that makes JT 0 for 2 in one game playoffs! Hopefully that slump will break next year, i'm still waiting for my Angels v. Giants World Series!!
JT's 97 Season
JT won his THIRD Gold Glove in a row in '97!!!!!!! So now, the total is two in the AL and one so far in the NL!!! GOOD JOB JT!!!!!!!!! JT hit 28 home runs this year! A career best! And, he reached 102 RBIs!!!!! J.T. committed only 6 errors in 1,402 total chances. A great honor for him was this year when he was named 1997 "Willie Mac Award" winner, an honor voted upon by Giants players, coaches and training staff for most inspirational player on team this year!!!! And his average finished at a steady .281. REMIND ME WHY WE TRADED THIS GUY???? The Giants were swept 3-0 by the Marlins, but with JT as their everyday 1st baseman, they are sure to have a stellar season next year.
