The Match: Before the match started, Mike Cobra made sure that everybody was banned from ringside by ordering security to block the enterance way and to stand around the ring. Bret Hart came out with a cocky smile on his face while The Crippler came running to the ring. Bret Hart took his belt off and handed it to the ref and tried to run after The Crippler but he moved and turn the tables on The Hitman. The Crippler started throwing lefts and rights on Bret Hart and knocked him to the canvas with a powerful uppercut. The fans showed their support and The Hitman was suprised by the rage of The Crippler. Once Bret Hart got back into the ring, The Crippler took total control of the match. He rammed The Hitman head into just about every turnbuckle in the building. The Hitman was totally blown away at the energy that The Crippler showed. The Hitman even started to walk back to the lockerrooms but Mike Cobra walked out and told the security to keep him in the ring and everybody else out. The Hitman climbed back into the ring and delieved a low blow to the Crippler. The Hitman started wailing away at The Crippler and when he hit the Hart Attack on The Crippler, it was the beginning of the end...or so it seems. Bret Hart went for the Sharpshooter but The Crippler powered out of it to keep the match going. The Crippler tried to mount a comeback but Bret Hart rammed The Crippler into the ringpost. Bret Hart went outside the ring and put on the figure four around the ringpost. Since it was a submission match, the ref asked The Crippler if he wanted to give. The Crippler instead spit into the face of Bret Hart. The Hitman let go of the figure four and went back into the ring. He was pounding on his leg and was laying back in the ring when he decided to end it again. He went for the Sharpshooter but The Crippler reverse it into a figure four. Bret Hart was trying to get out of it but couldn't make it to the rope. From nowhere, one of the security guards turned around and jumped into the ring. He climbed in and started beating on The Crippler. Bret Hart got out of the hold and was beating on The Crippler until he heard the bell ring. The ref told him to back away and the security guard turned out to be UWL newcomer Scar. The ref then went over and raised the hand of The Crippler. Bret Hart knew he was DQed so did not think much of it but the ref ALSO awarded the title to The Crippler, a move that Bret Hart did not know about. Bret Hart and Scar confronted the ref and told him it was not in the contract that the title can change hands via DQ but the ref responded that the PRESIDENT told him to do so if such an action occured! This outraged Bret Hart and they started beating up on the ref until security pulled him off the ref. Both The Crippler & the ref slowly walked out with help from security.
