Columbia (33-1) defeated White County 68-64 for the second straight Saturday to capture the Mid-East Sectional championship. Columbia eliminated Oakland on Friday night to advance to the finals. White County was ranked 18th in the nation by the USA Today before the loss. Columbia plays Maplewood (Nashville) in the quarterfinals of the state tournament on March 17 at 7:00 at Middle Tennessee State University. |
