"The Introduction"

Prior to the competition, NBC did a brief introduction of the competitors. (Kristi Yamaguchi and Nancy Kerrigan were also in the competition.) It was mentioned in the introduction that it was Yuka's second year as a professional and that she is well known in Japan, but do people know her in the U.S.?

Well, if people didn't know her before, they should know Yuka now - because she won the competition!
