Skate Parks

Close to Washington D.C.

1. Ocean Bowl Skate Park, Ocean City, Maryland located at 3rd street & St. Louis ave. Phone (301) 289-BOWL I have heard this number does not work.

This park is much better then it used to be. It has a new 13 foot vert ramp and new and inproved cement bowl . This is nice park that I would like to ride, but I just have not gotten the chance to because the last time I went there they were just finishing constructing the new one. I think it costs 8 dollars to get in, and your parents must sign an insurance form before you can skate.

2. Cheap Skates II, 13 Swartley RD, Line Lexington, Pennsylvania 18932. Phone: (251) 997-2313

This is a great indoor skate park located in the middle of nowhere in the flat lands of Pennsylvania. It has a three foot micro ramp, a six foot half pipe with a spine connecting it to a pool. The pool ranges from 6 feet to 10 feet in depth. The quality of the 6 foot is pretty good but the pool is a little messed up. The parks main feature is its 12 foot vert ramp with metal transitions, which make it very fast. The 12 footer is in great condition. Cheap skates also has a pretty good street course with lots of quarter pipes (all with metal copings), lots of slow rails and a hip ramp. I would not recommend going to this park in the summer without an ample amount of water because there is no air conditioning and it can get mighty crowded at times. The park is located near the Kargher Corporation Chocolate Factory so after you skate stop over and have a non- parell. Over all, I believe that this is a great park. It costs $7.50 to skate all day and you parents have to sign an insurance paper, but its cool because you get a park ID with your picture on it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. Spicy Skate Park I've experienced the greatness of this park and its pretty cool. They have an extreamly wide 6 ft. halppipe, rails, launches and many quarter pipes and best of all its always only rollerbladers there, they don't allow bikes and skateboarders don't usually go there. All the details are comming soon.

...and of course there's always WOODWARD!
