Whoops! The Green and Blacks are bottom and no one is really sure why. On paper the Seasiders have it sorted in all positions, the attacking partnership of Allen and Nicholls is proving to be devastatingly effective, with both players scoring again today. But, the boys lost again and now have taken only five points all season, languishing behind teams like Briton Ferry, Rhyl and
Holywell. Next week's match at Rhyl now is of extra importance, thanks to the defensive suicide comminted by Nigel Nicholas on 75 minutes when he passed the ball across the face of goal into the path of Eifion Williams (a former Wolves YTS player) who slotted home his hat-trick goal to the delight of the drunken hoardes from Caernarfon.
The North Walian visitors had scored the first goal after 23 seconds, lost the lead on 6 minutes when Gavin Allen pounced in the box, before regaining it after 8 minutes. It was Glyndwr Hughes who pulled Aber level on 17 minutes with a superb header, and the home side took the lead for the first time on 34 minutes when Ryan Nicholls scored the first of his two (A superb solo effort which left the Caernarfon defence with egg all over their faces! Ed). On 43 minutes, the sides were level when Eifion Williams got his first. However Aber held the half time advantage (4-3) when Ryan Nicholls scored again.
In the second half, the claret and blue clad (they looked hideous! Ed) Caernarfon, had most of the attacking possession but had Darren Oliver sent off for two yellow cards after 72 minutes. Aber had chances, some very close, but could not regain the same style they had shown in the first half. An exciting game, but
I'm getting fed up of losing.
